“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”

About me

My name is Jey, and I’m a presence-based therapist offering a warm, open-hearted space for emotional and relational exploration.  My work is grounded in humanistic principles, relational presence, and the belief that every person holds their own inner resources — even when they feel lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected.

I accompany you with both my head and my heart, paying close attention to what feels alive in the moment: your emotions, your body, your patterns, and the way you relate to yourself and others.

A little about me personally...

I’m a French Canadian living in Mexico, a qualified educator, and a single mother.
Parenting — with all the emotional giving it requires — has shaped my understanding of exhaustion, resilience, and the deep need for moments that belong only to you.

Therapy can be one of those moments.

An hour to breathe.
An hour to reconnect.
An hour to feel held instead of holding everything together.

My approach

My approach is client-centered — also known as person-centered.
This means you choose the topics, the rhythm, and the direction of our work. I adapt to what feels alive for you in each session.

My focus is on the here and now.
While moments from the past may naturally come up, we don’t stay there. We use them only as they help illuminate what you’re experiencing today.

I accompany you on your emotional journey with presence and openness.
Together, we explore your emotions, your relational patterns, the places where you feel stuck, the needs that have been overlooked, and the inner resources that may have gone quiet over time.

My role is to offer observations, invite awareness, and hold a warm, grounded space where you can reconnect with yourself — gently and at your own pace.

Some of the techniques we may use include:

  • art projections

  • writing activities

  • role-play

  • practicing non-violent communication

  • authentic relating exercises

  • the empty chair

  • presence-based dialogue

  • creative or experiential exploration

These are not pre-planned or imposed — they emerge naturally from what you’re experiencing in the moment and are always adapted to your comfort and needs.

If this resonates with you…

I invite you to book a free 15-minute introduction session so we can meet and see how it feels to work together.

My story

A Life Shaped by Movement, Identity & Emotion

I grew up between countries as a Third Culture Kid, always navigating identity, belonging, and the feeling of being “in between.”

That experience shaped me deeply.
It gave me empathy, sensitivity, curiosity — and a lifelong appreciation for the complexity of our inner worlds.

Over the years, my path carried me through:

  • moving between cultures

  • physical illness and fatigue

  • grief

  • identity questions

  • rebuilding myself as a parent

  • burnout

  • moments of deep self-doubt

  • rediscovering my worth

  • learning to listen to my needs and limitations

  • reconnecting with the depth of my emotions

These experiences changed me.
They softened me, grounded me, and shaped the way I accompany others.

🎓 My Training

  • Degree in Psychology — Concordia University

  • Advanced training at CRAM in a humanistic, person-centered approach (thérapie en relation d’aide)

  • Qualified early childhood educator

  • Experience as a teacher, caregiver, and parent

  • Long-time meditator

  • Trilingual: English, French & Spanish

I combine academic knowledge, creative tools, and lived experience to offer an approach that is grounded, warm, and deeply human.
